Integrating FSM & Active Myofascial Techniques (2-day workshop)
a functional approach to restore dynamic stability and reduce pain quickly using the Mover-Stabilizer Model
DATES = Feb 24-25, 2023
LOCATION = Achieve Integrative Health (715 Discovery Blvd Suite 306, Cedar Park, TX 78613)
TRAINING TIME = 8am to 5pm cst
Practitioners who are already using FSM and familiar with or interested in myofascial pain, trigger points, fascial distortions, and perpetuating factors.
if you see patients with ongoing functional limitations or pain
if you are interested in the "Why" of pain, this workshop will demystify the relationship between adaptation after our earliest injuries, mild-severe concussions, the central & peripheral nervous system and what happens to the NeuroMyoFasical body
increase their clinical results by at least 30%
from attending this workshop
be able to assess myofascial pain & dysfunction
be able to differentiate between active trigger points, latent trigger points and fascial distortion
be able to identify fascial distortion, postural distortions, stabilizer muscle weaknesses, and mover muscle compensation
gain better understanding of the genesis of aberrant movement patterns & distorted biomechanics
be able to identify dysfunction in the "Mover and Stabilityer muscles" driven by the brain "compensating for an injury/trauma/catastrophic event"
be able to identify specific myofascial pain pattern maps associated with shoulder, hip and low back pain
the critical stabilizer muscles and how to properly activate them
be able to demonstrate basic competence in applying specific active/dynamic manual therapy techniques to restore optimal movement and function
gain a deeper understanding of the Emotional impact of injury or trauma on the NeuroMyoFascial and limbic systems. Throughout the workshop as "learning opportunities arise during the practicums, participants will learn easy, disarming ways to address old trauma stored in the body
Learn the secret to relaxing the neck and shoulder muscles thus improving vagal tone
from attending this workshop
be able to provide manual therapy techniques for the activation & treatment of the primary "mover and stabilizer" muscles
gain hands-on experience in therapeutic techniques to resolve dysfunctional muscle motor patterns and/or fascial distortions quickly
Apply specific active, dynamic manual therapy techniques to resolve physical/emotional pain and the associated muscle dysfunction in the neck, shoulder, hips, and low back
you must have practiced frequency specific microcurrent, or taken one of Shannon's FSM foundation trainings
When you enroll you will be given access to Shannon's FSM foundation class (https://courses.frequenciesthatmend.com/courses/foundations-1)
Introduction: The Mover Stabilizer Model of Treatment
Learn to see Dynamic Myofascial Dysfunctions in everyone's static & dynamic posture by observing your clients unique gait & behavior
Humans Adapt! Assessing today's movement from yesterday's injuries enables you to identify NeuroMyoFascial adaptations and compensatory patterns
Recognize associated mechanical & systemic ramifications of myofascial dysfunction associated with common life injuries
Learn how to find & treat hidden Latent Trigger Points
Effective Therapy for Hidden Neurological-MyoFascial Dysfunctions:
Learn how to leverage the interactivity between the brain, peripheral nervous system, myofascial network, biomechanics & aberrant movement
Learn the brilliant efficiency of the brain encourages instant adaptive "solutions" that result in "functional" dysfunction
Learn how inured muscles LEARN “the right wrong thing” that lead to ongoing dysfunctional adaptations so we can continue to function until pain STOPS US
Learn how to get the story behind the story... something most were never taught
Take a journey through the miraculous NeuroMyoFascial system: how and why it REALLY holds & releases pain patterns, postural compensations, old physical trauma and emotions
Restore functional movement by activating key Mover & Stabilizer muscles with dynamic easy to learn manual therapy techniques
GRAVITY is your friend: Learn to access this “assistant therapist” for immediate results
Stabilizers! The muscle function you never learned in school, and isn’t in the text books: Learn how to reactivate these core muscles and instantly restore biomechanical ease
Once you are STABLE... You can MOVE! Understand the function of Movers: Learn the techniques to release & re-educate these key activation muscles
Learn the fascinating relationship between agonist and antagonist muscles: You’ve seen this in your practice, but what does it really mean? You’ll get it, as soon as you see it!
Learn to use systematic Static and Dynamic postural assessment tools, client history intake procedures & dynamic re-education protocols
Frequency Specific Microcurrent Protocols & Applications
During the workshop you will learn how to address the NeuroMyoFascial Pain & Dyfunction before and while doing MoverStabilizer techniques.
These practicums will be incorporated throughout the workshop and cover how to set up your electrodes, placement alternatives, using probes for scars, and addressing the brain, nerves, spine, muscles, fascia, emotions, and physical trauma.
